Seeing some impressive numbers for the Python 3.11 beta, via Phoronix:
When taking the geometric mean of all the Python benchmarks I carried out for this article on the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, Python 3.11 Beta was about 41% faster overall than the current Python 3.10.4 stable release or 45% over the aging Python 3.8 series. All the individual benchmark data can be found via this OpenBenchmarking.org result page.

Meanwhile, in Obsidian:

Logseq is great. Native outlining, org-like tasks, the power of Datalog. But Obsidian has the Dataview plugin. What you feed it looks a lot like SQL.
Code Sample
TABLE
length(rows) as "Notes"
from ""
where isa != null
GROUP BY isa
SORT isa ASC
I kinda know SQL already. Enough to know what to look up to make a table of note types.
| Group | Notes |
|---|---|
| Book | 3 |
| Game | 5 |
| Meeting | 1 |
| Movie | 1 |
| Package | 1 |
| Person | 41 |
| Pet | 4 |
| Project | 1 |
| Source Note | 16 |
Nope. Haven’t settled on One True Note System and I likely never will. But at least I’m enjoying myself.

Got some project ideas, which is my surest sign that anxiety levels are down to acceptable background levels today.
I mean I still got ADHD which means I must force myself away from those ideas and get work done. But still. It’s nice to feel the motor running.

@yenzie Sometimes the simplest way to say it right looks complicated at first.

Markdown tools using CommonMark spec decisions as their justification to not implement definition lists.
Sorry. I ran out of words. I’m annoyed by it and I have been oh since CommonMark became a thing.

gonna have to do something about work chat notifications that seem to mainly pop up when i am almost getting work done
because i forgot what i was doing
right i give up i will just play solitaire or something in the four minutes i have between group notifications for the rest of the week
Nah I’ll just pause notifications. Let’s see.
Pause, custom, June 9, 2032 3:00 PM
Note the problem isn’t really the notifications.
It’s my brain treating every notification like something’s on fire and needing time for adrenalin cool-off when it turns out to be a document review request. All better OMG ANOTHER ALERT IT’S A FIRE and repeat
The Douglas Adams bit about sheep being startled by the sunrise, their shadow, and small bushes that have been there forever, but it’s my brain with chat notifications.

Work status: I am adding code to the correct file. I do not yet know whether it is the correct code.
So. Progress! 🥳
