Heya!
Reverting back to the Astro blog iteration I started last year with. I’ll add a new version of the public brain as well. Turns out? Importing a few thousand pages of microblogging archives from Twitter and Hacker’s Town? With pictures? That slows the build down a bit, even for Hugo.
So I spent a few months trying to refactor both the note sources for My Public Brain and the tools I used to prep and publish those sources. Now I have an approach to my notes I’m happy with, leaning on org-roam. Fewer pages—much fewer, for now—and that’s a good thing.
What about publishing? Nothing made me happy there. Too much and too complex. So I opted to roll all the way back to the single timeline blog structure I had with this iteration. I’ll figure out the knowledge garden details later.
Next up this week on the spare time task list is getting the rest of my /slash pages up, and clearing up vestigial POSSE links that are no longer valid after hackers.town migrated to a new server last year. Then I can start on the astro-org integration for the notes.
Once again: new year, new flow. It’s getting to be a habit.
