TIL that you can get federal student loans for some coding bootcamps. Bound to be predatory shops: they get $$, you get nothing but debt.

Why do I worry about predatory dev bootcamps? I took ~4 month computer skills course in 90s. Learned touch typing. Owed government $7,000+.

I dropped the training course and ate the debt. Took a while to pay off. Met a program graduate later working at Goodwill. Awkward.

Anyways, the school shut down, there was a big settlement thing I missed out on:

Nearly forgot. Move to Seattle, my then-gf takes free skills class at community college. Material from the ripoff school. Kind of funny tbh.

Anyways time to organize my dotfiles and listen to the soothing voice of David Attenborough as he describes wondrous animal carnage.

Picked a dotfiles tool (dotbot) and set up a repo. Next to pluck the useful bits spread across five or six systems.
