Helping morning work crowd learn things:
- the crosswalk is not one way* it’s polite to make some room for folks going the other way* if you don’t make room for me, I will. * grr snarl

@lilithsaintcrow that song makes me so happy. He might not be the best best rapper out of Seattle but he still does us proud ^_^
hackers.town: 2019-11-06 Wed 10:03
@tek Yes oh and can we get several folks in on the discussion? Team meeting on the sidewalk!
hackers.town: 2019-11-06 Wed 10:07
@lilithsaintcrow really to me his only sin is his accessibility. He’s competent and self-aware (judging by the tracks that aren’t singles at least). There’s just this whole adoration/backlash thing going on.
The Baby Got Back Dilemma.

@lilithsaintcrow calling it a sin is just me having too much coffee. He’s good!
The accessibility problem to me is that folks over or under state his abilities because the surface is so easily judged.

@lilithsaintcrow I link to that, Blue Scholars “Slick Watts” and an Almost Live YouTube playlist in my “welcome to Seattle” digital package for friends.

🎼 The sun might be shining but it’s colder than it seems
🎼 ‘cause the weather’s dialectical. There’s no in between.

@rabcyr I’m not sure what the best advice for today is. Local class? YouTube? Sally Melville’s “The Art of Knitting” books do a great job building on the foundations.
hackers.town: 2019-11-06 Wed 15:43
@rabcyr holy crap I’m looking right at the books and I gave you the wrong title.
“The Knitting Experience”
hackers.town: 2019-11-06 Wed 15:47
@rabcyr yeah that’s the one. I apologize for the subpar brain.
hackers.town: 2019-11-06 Wed 15:50
@rabcyr additional general craft advice: stay away from any title presenting itself as hip or trendy. Weird? Weird’s fine.
But for some reason every “hip knits” type book I got had poor instructions for mediocre styles.

I’d like to mention that even though I’m busy with work tasks and multiple conversations, I still found time to make my desktop unbootable.
Some of us are just real good multitaskers.

@rabcyr I often do. We have a high-decibel relationship.

@rabcyr ah the overlap of hand crafting and math burnouts!
