She: “Did you eat?”

Me, panicking: “I uh I ate I had some of the bottom of that bag of old chips and — uh — no?”

She begins to laugh

Me, triumphantly recalling conspicuous calorie consumption: “DONUTS! I ATE TWO DONUTS!”

Made her snort-laugh so definitely a win.

Force font DPI (96 → 115) so I can be less squinty. KDE says I should be using screen scaling in display settings but apparently EndeavourOS doesn’t include that bit. So DPI change it is!

Besides, I like the small UI elements. My eyes just want bigger text.

Ah it’s not that EndeavourOS KDE lacks the screen scaling, it’s that I’d installed minimal KDE over a Qtile base install. Got the full desktop now, but decided I still prefer DPI change to screen scaling.

@raboof The claim is that icons and UX components may render weird if you only scale the font. Haven’t seen that yet and I’d have to see it a lot before I cared, because generally yeah I agree with you.
