Dwarf Fortress Pretty Edition is out.
I should’ve made today my sick day. Oh well. I’ve got important stuff to do and
oh no i feel slightly feverish all of a sudden

Also the Valheim Mistlands update. Excited for that one too. It’s prettier but not as monumental of an event as Sexy Dwarf Fortress.

A few weeks back @perigrin mentioned nb for CLI note & task management, and I find myself defaulting to it more and more often. It’s not perfect for my needs, but close enough for silly ideas on how to implement my own flavor of the same workflow.

@masukomi @perigrin I know Markdownload can convert to Markdown and save as a file. Perhaps its preferences could be made specific about what folder to save that file in?

@perigrin @gizmomathboy The language itself interests me. Was worried about platform lock-in though. Same thinking has me keeping .NET at arm’s length.
Course a few decades of habit leads to other kinds of lock-in. Some remarkable tools out there that I don’t use just because they’re not terminal-friendly enough.

I have tests passing but —
hm.
I feel like they’re the wrong tests.

Wondering how to say pytest.mark.xfail in Jest.
hackers.town: 2022-12-06 Tue 19:10
@perigrin well I wasn’t gonna deploy it or anything.
hackers.town: 2022-12-06 Tue 19:26
@perigrin Oh right right. You know I’d pondered exactly that scenario but there was enough time between my post and seeing your reply that I forgot all about that possibility!

@proto impressive time compression!

rm -rf ~/.emacs.d.test/ is indeed one way to refactor this new emacs config I’m trying out.
