Original plan for this #drawing was to add the ink layer and clear out the pencil layer, but I kinda like the contrasting overlay. #LineaSketch doesn’t need fancy layer blends if I stay alert for happy accidents.

@tk I had no intention of trying it, and am enjoying this video that validates my choice.
Honestly Prison Architect makes me feel kind of icky as it is. Kind of interesting to see the assumptions built into a simulation.

@masukomi Similar reasoning why I default to Python for so many projects. The libraries and tooling I need are mature, well-supported, and widely used enough that a Web search to answer my questions is pretty quick.
Ruby’s a more pleasant language than Python, of course. But since I don’t currently use Rails, my Ruby rides are a little bumpier.

@masukomi Depending on the path one treads, for sure. Django’s ORM and query API is a whole different creature than ActiveRecord, and I’d say it’s more work to hit intermediate skill with Django than Rails. But once you’re there, oh goodness it is a (mostly) a delight.

@masukomi @lmorchard Django’s got a little bit of convention and magic (just ask any LSP trying to give you squiggly lines over a bog-standard API call) but it’s far more explicit than Rails. And the encapsulation of features provided by the project / app split is a godsend, core to how Django folks add features and get stuff done.
