Hey look I got another terrible idea!

Edit: and that idea would be using #Eleventy to publish a #Logseq graph. Exploratory meanderings at https://github.com/brianwisti/logseq-eleventy

HTML rendering of a Logseq note as nested “details” elements with minimal styling

hackers.town: 2023-04-15 Sat 12:27

@gewalker i still got it

hackers.town: 2023-04-15 Sat 13:09

@gewalker great now I want to watch Ice Pirates

@gizmomathboy the main CSS for this screenshot was a margin for indentation. What you see there from the detail expander is nearly all HTML and browser core styles!

hackers.town: 2023-04-15 Sat 14:11

All right that’s enough with the aesthetics. Next is just building public notes and blocks.

A Logseq note using nested details element for the outline structure, with a dark theme and sans-serif font applied to the style.

hackers.town: 2023-04-15 Sat 15:54

@gizmomathboy that’s okay, so are most of them.

Still some layout quirks to deal with (I may want to drop the details tag approach) but:

Tiled screenshot: first is a list of all pages, containing only the two pages with public content; second is a journal entry with only a single public block rendered; third is a public page

@WuMargaret Thank you! I don’t plan on getting too extravagant with the style, but you never know what random bug I’ll get up my britches.

hackers.town: 2023-04-15 Sat 18:55

@WuMargaret well, it’ll be less minimalistic. My current Logseq setup shows some of the bits I’ll eventually incorporate: tidier property listings, color differentiation for some markup, icons.

Logseq view of my workflow notes, with some of the features described in post text

@gewalker @WuMargaret i sync via git. Kinda clumsy but it’s solid.

@IamMrsGeek @ovid @adrianh@mastodon.social they don’t exist.

hackers.town: 2023-04-15 Sat 20:16

@laren Right there with you. You don’t want to lose focus on the thing you’re stressing about.

Yay internal links work! Now to figure out a useful way to extract those for backlinks.

Been watching #MerrieMonarch with @IamMrsGeek. I get to learn stuff and she gets to be homesick.
