@lordbowlich this is a career development move, though having a secondary goal of closer to idempotent setup across operating systems has me also pondering Nix.

@lordbowlich I use dotbot for mostly personal workspaces, with some logic in place for local overrides. Was pondering Nix to keep the dependencies a bit more predictable, or asdf.
Neither of those help with the short-term career dev goal, so maybe later.

@perigrin Thanks, and yeah I was pretty excited about that one. Was nice to actually talk to someone.
Oh and there was actual feedback, which was nice. A code review would have been better, but getting the broad highs and lows is helpful.
