Using Podman to pull a Docker image to build my Hugo site is a terrible idea that serves as a wonderful gateway to other terrible ideas.

@maddiefuzz I am periodically tempted to revisit Jekyll. I hear the performance issues I wrestled with have long since improved.

Jekyll was nice because it knew exactly what it was trying to do, and Ruby’s a fantastic language for “no, now you are doing this too”

@maddiefuzz tight focus + strong hooks for extension. That’s Jekyll’s good stuff.
