Internet search exists so you can find cats.

Okay it’s JavaScript-powered. If you don’t have JS you won’t even see the search bar. Besides that Pagefind is pretty darn good! I can put off organizing the site a little longer.

Sometimes the bedtime Drawing urge is something small but somehow very specific. Just pull out #LineaSketch and get the idea down. Will I revisit later? I dunno!

If you are a back-end web developer, you know how crucial it is to choose the right language for your project.

Yes, I know how crucial it to choose the right Programming Language. It isn’t. Okay maybe you don’t want to write your microservice in Awk but if that’s what your team knows I’m not gonna stop you. Not a top five concern, that’s for sure.

If you’re choosing the tools for your org’s backend service, check the licenses before you check the benchmarks. Lawyers get mean.

@Routhinator Yeah, overall functionality, library availability, team familiarity, licensing. These are the important things. Amateurs cargo-culting big names like that’ll make them the next unicorn.

At home I play with every toy I find. At work I’m way way more conservative.

@vantablack I’m glad you’re not dead. You don’t know me and I only know you because of the FediPact thing. But I got my scars and I know sometimes any little boost helps. I’m glad you’re here and feel safe to share this. Thank you.

@WuMargaret Grandpa was in a diesel sub during his Navy years. He’d be pretty rude about this news item I’m sure.

My Steam review of Stanley Parable:

I wanted to hurt the narrator. Then I felt bad and wanted to make the narrator happy. Then I hurt the narrator.
