I estimated a task and delivered in under the estimated time. The task was printing a couple dozen documents for somebody on one of those basic household printers where you have to double check the printer queue every other job, but still.

If I understand this correctly
Because of Apple going their own way instead of Vulkan or keeping up with OpenGL, many of the newer shaderpacks for Minecraft just don’t work and I’m basically playing in potato mode?
Ah well. I know the machine’s capable. There are just a few thousand details to work out.

@cinebox Rethinking Voxels is a nice subtle kind of pretty on the Linux install. I’m learning that I don’t care for the shaders that try to strongarm realism into a voxel world.

@cinebox in one of the projects I bounced through in the last couple days there was mention of needing updates from multiple parties for it to work right, because there were nontrivial API changes. I’m using an Azul JDK for x64 when launching from MultiMC due to some of those issues.
So far none of my macOS fiddling has resulted in better results than using the default launcher with Curseforge, a few mods, and no shader.

Okay, #Minecraft averaging 60+ FPS on the MBP Apple M1 Pro using Optifine and the MakeUp shader pack. Tried Rethinking Voxels, but that went slideshow on this device (max 21 FPS).
