It occurs to me that you’d want someone who absolutely despises the AI trend as part of your AI service dev team if you want your project to be the highest possible quality because I will burn the whole thing to the ground rather than let some crappy-ass Clippy out in the wild on my watch

So my evaluation of Zed is give it at least six months.
It’s fast because it’s pretty much a proof of concept at this point: editor, command palette, tree panel, terminal dock, and something requiring an OpenAI key for the right panel.
Presumably each of those will eventually do more, but at this point it’s poor competition for Nova, Sublime, or even tmux + micro.
Got the Base16 themes built-in though, and that’s nice.
