@Macross was escorting family for lots of tests and waiting around until those tests were done.
My common sense started tingling after a bit and I spent a lot of my waiting time outside.

@genehack thanks but I think she’s got it.
We’re talking through, and the core issue is she needs a new computer (dead pixels in display, dead keyboard, half the USB ports don’t work, don’t buy cheap PCs off AMZN). But we got a short term fix planned out, with USB hub and keyboard on her list.

Had a mysterious driver issue with sound on my Linux partition.
Sound driver didn’t support generating audio output after I accidentally turned off the speakers with my foot.
