I mean #Procreate is a fantastic drawing app and I’m real happy that they’re doing well — though it’s been a few years since they added a feature that excited me — but I see any kind of “change the industry” hype and my immediate battle-scarred reaction is “oh no not again”

what are they gonna ruin now

@c0debabe Heck Apple probably didn’t even have to pay them. It’s a hardcore native app. They’d have to find or make up their own versions of the platform affordances they use.

Infinite Painter is the best cross-platform sketch app I’ve got, and it is to put it politely quite obviously a cross-platform app. It works pretty good but doesn’t look quite right on Android or iOS.

@c0debabe I shouldn’t be so backhanded in the praise part. Infinite Painter’s tied with Procreate for my number two sketch app. Linea Sketch is my primary.

So @IamMrsGeek tells me her next meeting is a ✌️coffee chat✌️ (air quotes hers) and my immediate reaction is that “coffee chat” is in the same useless category as “social drinking,” giving me unwelcome insight into my family’s genetic predisposition towards unhealthy habits.

Glad O’Reilly is still funding books, even if they aren’t selling them anymore. Maybe a PDF of the book I want will show up in a Humble Bundle someday.
