@darq This was during an online install on a fresh partition, so I was a bit flummoxed. A specific component of KDE Plasma couldn’t be found.

Ended up installing a QTile base, and this morning installed Plasma no problem at all.

@b0rk I set $EDITOR to micro because it’s so straightforward to work with.

I still go to nvim for heavy work edits because of the robust extension ecosystem, but micro covers the 80% case so very well.

@boris A thing I love about micro that may offend some sensibilities is that the keybindings are consistent regardless of operating system. I still haven’t gotten the hang of Sublime or VS Code on macOS.

I mean. I can see how Postman’s helpful to other brains, but I shaped my HTTP testing expectations with WWW::Mechanize, Capybara, Requests, etc. Pointy-clicky API testing feels I dunno orthogonal to what I’m used to.

@genehack @d@wafer.baby well heck yes I remember you mentioning that! That is a significant and useful community resource, finding out what’s in smart people’s toolboxes.

I tried putting together a /uses page but had a panic attack around 4,000 words or so. That’s the neurospicy.

At day five of #Chillquarium, and thinking daily updates won’t be particularly exciting past this. The number will go up, and the fish will be pretty, but it’s a straightforward path from here. Get enough for more tanks, more fish, and more tanks.

That’s not bad or anything, just not super exciting to report on.
