(But also anything involving numbers is way easier with a numpad. The QWERTY top row defaulting to numeric is the intrusive vestigial functionality)

@0xdaeda1a @mjgardner I can imagine it - plenty of folks still have no idea of the association - but the worse option has significant enough likelihood and sufficiently damaging consequences that I’ll lean towards assuming the worst case until a better path is verified.

It just so happens that some folks’ jigsaw puzzles have like three pieces.

@mjgardner I’ve done that! Set up for Programmer Dvorak for a while on an older keyboard. Great for Perl.

Ended up drifting back because with my constant OS reinstallation it was one more thing to forget.

if you do the math the pauses are exactly long enough to fit an “um” or a “like”

Sound filtering problems. The noises aren’t too loud as much as there are too many of them, or occasionally not enough.

@IamMrsGeek reminded me I’ve got those fancy ear buds for exactly this situation, and they’re already helping.

Looking at the rate of (announced) new game additions to XBox Game Pass helps me realize just how Steam really is a primary game outlet and XBox Game Pass uh is not.

@seatek I like the streaming approach, but it’s the same tiny selection problem. But hey I can try stuff out without feeling the “ignored game” weight over my head. A mix of streaming and “ownership” (as much as we can own any non-FOSS software these days) seems like my sweet spot.
