To me a “sky the color of television turned to a dead channel” is so specific that i can hear the broken promises for A Better Tomorrow whispered by ghosts in a television that’s about to die, on a channel that played its last good night anthem years ago.

Television was such an interesting choice, since it specifically had been presented as the messenger for our Better Tomorrow during the author’s life and had thoroughly shown itself as The Same Old But Worse by the time the words were written down.

So a few days ago I assumed the only sensible explanation for the OpenAI news was moving quick on big money scandals but at this point I am forced to assume it’s some airborne Silicon Valley Derangement Syndrome. Presumably next is the Inevitable Zombie Apocalypse.
