@twobraids @mhoye throwing in a “me too” to counterbalance the “works on my system” notes.
Desktop PC with NVidia, so I got some flakiness. But mostly it’s mental friction. I hate throwing away decades’ worth of useful abstractions and functionality.

@forrestbrazeal @masukomi I mean the copilot-type coding assistants have been helpful as a sort of autocomplete, with the same benefits and shortcomings.
For all the electrical and water cost, I hoped for a lot more than ducking autocomplete.

Accidentally read Redcarpet’s README enough to notice that I can get the equivalent to Hugo’s render hooks in a Ruby-based SSG and dangit brain I did not need this I have work tickets.

@Truck @mhoye @twobraids and yet it feels like you could’ve kept going on the topic without much effort.
No, no. Not an insult. Three years of Wayland? I bet you have a lot of pain to work through. Much sympathy and thank you for your restraint.

@Truck see? Could’ve been much worse.
I start up a Plasma Wayland session every couple months, to see if basic desktop experience works better for me, or how Steam does. And while it’s a little better each time, it still feels a ways off from daily driver for me.

Been a while since I listened to the soundtrack. And heck it’s been a long time since I last watched the movie.

@bonkydog @trochee @futurebird some actual attention management and time awareness assists would be so helpful.
Meanwhile this thread set off a couple neuron tangents and brain goes “you know, using Copilot feels like Scottish Siri but with code.”

Incidentally — all the same caveats about simplistic builds apply, but Nanoc builds the post contents in 1s, which is technically faster than Hugo for the mixed Markdown / Asciidoctor use case.

#GrimDawn does a fine job scratching that isometric ARPG “splat the moving things and grab the shiny things” itch.
