You know what I mean? Perfect grammar is the first dead giveaway. The sentences are well-structured if somewhat light on actual content — small talk basically — and yet the links feel mad-libbed in.

@spinningthoughts When you can generate in even bigger bulk, the long tail can be very long indeed.
The spam read like one of the standard “I love your site. Would you add SUSPICIOUS_LINK?” spams, but conversational enough and with some single-sentence summaries of my pages that might lead a less cautious person to think someone had read it, and check SUSPICIOUS_LINK.

“AI” becoming an umbrella term for pretty much any interesting application of technology has made job search more challenging.
But if I can translate the oversimplifications to specific functionality, there’s still interesting stuff out there.

@Johannab Yeah honestly my main and only beef with the Bluesky bridge is that it’s opt-out rather than opt-in. I’d even consider opting in. But no. Folks gotta add hashtag clutter or email some dude. Rude.
Folks also overlapping rudeness with techbro, but techbro’s a very specific thing to me, with drink-ups and crushing code. This is just plain old rudeness. Not novel enough to appropriate a title.
