I wouldn’t at all be surprised if there were some skilled Drupal developers who would help transfer one’s site from #Wordpress for a reasonable price.

Feeling pretty sad about the whole thing. I use a SSG for my blog because that’s all I want. Other folks want more, and for decades have trusted Automattic to provide that via Wordpress without any shenanigans.
But hey one more disappointment means one more hole for somebody else’s project to fill.
