@vantablack yep yep. Same for the socialist hellhole of Washington state. I think about this 2004 piece from The Stranger Weekly whenever somebody wants to just say for example burn Alabama in favor of California because of how the state’s final votes work out:

Interview prep for a technical screen for a Python gig in a couple hours by puttering aimlessly on some completely unrelated Python code I’ve been thinking about.
