Jumping every time I get an email notification, which I think means I want the job I interviewed for yesterday.

(disappointed sigh)
Hey I know rejection letters can be as hard to write as they are to read, and you might be prohibited by the laws of man or your god from providing useful feedback.
But can you at least try to make them look less like a form letter? That’s gonna be an applicant’s lasting impression of your entire organization, however nice the rest of the process was.
Really dropping the ball out there. “Please keep an eye for future opportunities with $company oh I’ll be keeping an eye all right. To stay the heck away.

Was gonna get a celebratory beer today but then the news wasn’t good after all. Well, I have a strict rule against drinking sad beer.
So I’m drowning my sorrows in a giant PB&J smoothie.

Coding tests could be fun, but in more than 80% of cases if you don’t reach for their pet solution you failed the test, which makes them depressing, boring, and generally a red flag.
Gotta pay rent so I’m not gonna say no, but every coding test in your hiring pipeline is a little warning about culture.

I’ve gotten far enough that it looks like Markdown. That loses most of the outline structure, though. Things that are obviously lists (to me) in the app just become lone paragraphs.
But if I keep the outline structure intact, I’ll have to use a lot of ARIA or take an even bigger hit on accessibility.
I hit a pause point in this experiment. Gonna ponder for a bit.

Got the house looking nice. Finally paved the driveway all the way to the garage.
And this would be a good spot for a bonfire.
