Really proud of myself for not live-tooting a string of profanity^H^H^H my reactions to a meeting I overheard.

Filling out the #ADHD assessment intake form for a new provider (because @IamMrsGeek is heckin’ on top of things thank you) and some of the questions are tricky.
Do I have problems being organized? Do I forget lots of things?
Not so much.
BUT WHY
fine I lean on five task apps, seven PKMs, and about 5,000 pages of notes including many repeating notes

@nomad @IamMrsGeek SERIOUSLY

@nomad @IamMrsGeek I answered based on no meds, no decades of coping mechanisms, but yes decades of trauma-based responses (I’m great at waiting my turn, for example)
besides which, who am I foolin’ on the “not so much.”

@vkc I do miss the days when computers felt like “anything can happen! :blobwhee:” instead of well I guess “anything can happen :blobsadeyes:”

With the doctor doing the verbal form of the questionnaire. After a few, they pause and ask from another page.
They: “Did you ever sort your toys? By color, type—“
Me: “color, type, name, classification, occasionally smell — plastic toys in the 70s am I right? Purchase date, manufacturing year, sometimes just for fun add a y-axis classification to cross-reference—”
They: “I’m gonna send you the autism assessment for our next visit.”
Me: “okay. Cool.”

@cinebox probably would’ve been a good time to bring up that I’m learning graph databases for better organization of my notes.

@pjf @WuMargaret when they learn all the flavors of family later, don’t ever let them be (too) embarrassed for clearly speaking what they knew at the time!

Saw a small cluster of pepsis wasps by the sidewalk during the evening dog walk and had a few simultaneous thoughts: a) guess we’re done with the evening dog walk; b) I don’t want to know what they’re all clustering around in such excitement; and c) I miss locusts.

@Johannab I am told they are not aggressive to humans, and what I’ve seen so far bears that out.
However, I’ve also been told they are territorial, which is the sort of thing you shout towards my back as I started retreating the instant “however” appeared.
