@fuzzychef @celesteh the Akkoma project is a fork that exists pretty much because of Pleroma’s culture issues.

I can’t speak to any kind of heavy instance use, but Akkoma worked quite nicely for a two-person instance on just about the smallest Digital Ocean droplet. Once I’m working steady again I’ll probably set it up once more.

Was looking for the third one, because I think about “look — dirt!” a lot what with times being what they are.

But looking for that one I bounced across these others. These kids were supposed to be the same age as me. Even though it’s the “adult words in kids’ mouths” trope, it’s a good reflection of the zeitgeist and overall concerns for baby Gen-X in (dear lord) 1981.
