(I got My copy at Rainy Day Records in Olympia, between a gaming session and a Linux group meetup so yeah was feeling similar vibes at the time)

Sudden flashback to Mondo 2000 “R.U. a Cyberpunk?”
(I wasn’t by the poster definition all I had was Linux on a borrowed PC that I’d configured to ignore its bad memory blocks, and an issue of 2600 I uh borrowed yeah borrowed from Barnes & Noble)

There’s already a cottage industry of streamers enjoying their click wheel iPods, but I mean reinventing single-purpose tech like ultralights reinventing airplanes.

@netopwibby I had something like principles. Big box store? Take whatever. Small indy shops? Money or GTFO. I recall lecturing a friend at length after he stole a supplement from the local game store. Even snuck it back to the store in my next visit.
Course later I learned that the box stores make their grunts suffer if losses are bad, so I chilled on that too.

Overheard @IamMrsGeek being annoyed about a not-manager assigning her nitpicky tasks like “this column should be centered and all this text should be using Atkinson Hyperlegible” and even though I agree on the font choice I strongly disagreed on the delivery (and about overriding default fonts on users that may have say OpenDyslexic as their default)
Started ranting about style guides, WCAG, Section 508, etc.
Thank god she thinks I’m cute.

I’ve gotten darn close to building my site in Astro, but everything feels like an argument — especially after similar puttering with Eleventy and Vitepress.
I’ll have to ponder whether I want to keep arguing with it long enough to get image processing and whatever comes after.
