I suppose I could make building easier by using Creative mode, or having a plan, but this is more fun.

Minecraft #ATM9

small rectangular wooden panel house in a valley full of flowers and trees, lit by torches and a campfire mounted on cobblestone fencepost

a later view of the house from above, showing extensions, lots of carved stone, a symmetrical pattern, and a second building nearby starting from the same mismatched wood panel that the first house had; crops and bamboo grow nearby

a veiw of the now two-story extended house from a distance, showing that torches have been replaced by lanterns, and much of the wood has been replaced by stone or other materials, with a color scheme of gray, red, and white coming through; the near side of the house is obscured by bamboo platforms as construction begins on a slanted roof

managed to remember why I was calling the pharmacy long enough to reach the end of the phone tree and leave my message

And the pharmacy called back! With the information I needed, and the best time range to pick up my prescription!

Have I ended up in some parallel universe?

You can tell who’s on a client that supports quoted boosts.

On the official Web client, all I see is your snark and a URL, which if I click will open said URL in a whole new tab.

(even on supporting clients, the quote preview may not come through say if you’re doing an outrage-boost of some account from an instance the ever-attentive hackers.town admin team has opted out of; a blessing in disguise really)

I am never in the right mental space for “unexpected gathering of people” but now that I know this is a thing, hopefully there will be again next year and I can consider attending!

(but so far I’ve rarely been in the right mental space for “anticipated-well-in-advance gathering of people)

Yacht Rock as a genre is mostly “the soft rock selection of the songs my mom enjoyed as a young adult and also the pina colada song”

(BTW Real yacht rock would at least throw in The Immigrant Song every once in a while.)
