Protecting myself from the sun a bit too effectively. Started to get in a funk, then realized I’ve been blocking out most of the natural light for the last couple weeks.

I mean holy crap. Render hooks are awesome and I’ve been kinda amazed how much they’ve been expanding on the available options recently.
Thank goodness hyperfocus aimed at something work-related right now or there would be a risk of distraction.

@m biggest frustration with the tinnitus + partial hearing loss is soft music over a good headset used to be my preferred coping technique.
Doesn’t work as well anymore since I can’t hear it as well, and I can’t wear a headset more than an hour without the tinnitus ear squeal going into overdrive.

@m turns out they make it worse, because sound dampening is just weird sound. Rattles the inner ear a bit, which exacerbates the tinnitus.

@m I’ve had the tinnitus a long time, but when I could hear out that ear it was easy to drown it out with any background noise whatsoever. Now nothing else gets in on that side, so it’s kind of all I got.

Grumbling perhaps a bit excessively about the hardware issues she’s facing trying to keep her tried-and-true favorite devices connected to her MBP, and the dongles, and just — jeez.
As a laptop it’s mostly great. As a desktop hub? Especially for somebody who has non-Apple branded peripherals? Kind of annoying.
