@detritus I saw how they were useful for certain jobs, but pagers were my first “no thanks” for personal prestige tech.
The idea of being interruptible anywhere just annoyed the heck out of me. Honestly I dragged my feet for a few years on mobile phones too.

yeah I’m gonna do it. I’d rather hear half the music and have my tinnitus screaming at me than get triggered by normal conversation noises from literally the other side of the house.

well i mean mostly normal
They sit side by side conversing, but because they’re both wearing headsets playing different things, they gotta raise their voices like an old retired couple

@grmpyprogrammer yah, the best home office setup was when I was living alone in a one bedroom apartment. Had a lot of other shortcomings though.
We’re figuring out ways to get less of a WeWork vibe in the house.
