Dunno if it’s the PSU or the Nvidia card, but yeah the PC’s basically done for. Load anything that engages the GPU (which includes some mundane-looking Electron apps). If you lose the coin toss, PC powers down.
Reseated everything. No change in behavior.
Unplugged everything. Browsing little houses for the SSDs as external storage. Started earnestly pondering my next desktop system.

Tonight we heard javelinas making noise (aside from their normal noise of knocking your stuff over). The dogs did not approve.

@technoid_ they can be aggressive if startled, but they don’t stick around for loud noises.
So basically I’ve only had to deal with their trash bin carnage. Bouncy Dog is good at making sure potential threats with sensitive ears have somewhere else to be.
and neighbor dogs and neighbors, but that’s a separate issue
