It’s kind of weird to me how often I switch keyboard form factors (and / or text editors) based on what mood my hands are in. Bouncing between the split keyboard and the standard, between VS Code, Vim, Emacs.

Sometimes these muscle memory pathways are easier. Sometimes it’s those over there.

That seems weird.

@jda Glad it’s not just me – or that it is just me – or something.

Yah weird.

“Do you have a problem with keyboards?”

“No, because I have a system! You see–”

I left my spare glasses behind the MBP while playing Valheim.

Hand holding a pair of metal frame glasses, with plastic earpieces that have partially melted.

I like Capacities for organizing information. It’s a paid online service from a small team, but it’s got a generous free tier, their offline capabilities are steadily improving, and – something I appreciate more every day – they’re pretty darn open about plans and policies.

From their roadmap: What’s not next

also: Capacities has AI features, but tucked away so neatly in the corner that you don’t ever have to care. No AI Clippy.

@beep I am disappointed by his lack of accurate insight about important matters.

Sufficiently well-rested that I’m getting what appear to be accurate readings about how much energy I have left for today?

Weird. All I know is “full” and “oh no.”

@zkat Valid.

Keep in mind if you get diagnosed ADHD or other, it’s tagging a disability that’s always been there.

But yeah sometimes clarity doesn’t feel like a blessing.

If you do get diagnosed, it lights up some paths for coping techniques and there’s the option of meds. With work, well that’s your call. I’ve been pretty open because they’re gonna figure it out soon anyways, but that openness hasn’t always worked in my favor.

She: “I love your booty”

Me: :yayblob:

She: “And I love you!”

Me: :yayblob: “She loves us both!”

@IamMrsGeek available on CD and Cassette at Tower Records, Sam Goody, or wherever you buy music!

Looks like an 80s or 90s alt band album cover. High contrast black and white photo of well-fed black chihuahua mix dogs looking hungry, stylized text reads “the pups” and “HOW SOON IS DINNER”
