Sausage Dog goes rolling by.

@IamMrsGeek had not yet seen Sausage Dog.

She: Holy shit that’s a fat dog.

Me: See? Sausage Dog

And before anybody says it, we’re not fat shaming. We’re in awe, really. Short long bratwurst wiener dog, roll-bouncing like an old school low rider.

@thegibson My first impression of Mastodon was that it was trying too hard to be like Twitter.

Then the furries sort of made it their own, and it was a different and joyful enough experience in early 2017 that I didn’t make the connection with the me-too Twitter clone I’d dismissed a few months earlier.

Anyways it’s 2024 now and I think Mastodon’s trying too hard to be like Twitter.
