Look, I like spicy autocomplete as much as the next nerd. Maybe. Sometimes. When it’s not too annoying.

Anyways it’s kind of something that Jakob Nielsen, whose writing taught me about avoiding mystery meat navigation, is such an enthusiastic proponent of mystery meat computing.

(also: whatever talent he has had for UX, he has an atrocious eye when it comes to generative art)

@beep @mia

“Where are you looking to put your energy next?”

That’s the one I’m struggling with. I just want to pay bills and not make the world worse for everyone (including billionaires, which they’d see if they weren’t busy using longtermism to rationalize short-term revenue). Making the world better would be ideal, but I must be flexible.

Shifted from admittedly unoptimized Tailwind to a pretty similar layout with Astro component Sass + Open Props. Total production CSS payload went from 70K to uh 12.5K.

Skyblock couldn’t keep my interest.

But I am absolutely down for some SubnautiCube.

Minecraft #OceanBlock2

What? Me? Green? I – uhhh – it’s a skin condition.

Player with zombie skin stands on a Minecraft rendition of the Subnautica life pod, floating in ocean.

View after a few days, with a house made of assorted types of stone placed over the lifepod on stone pillars, with closely grouped trees growing on the house roof.
