Well I downloaded and ran the Nushell binary. Works great.
That’s boring.
So I used Nix home-manager. Now all the things I installed via asdf-vm / Brew and configs managed by dotfiles are ALL Nix.
Woke up thinking about how quick the Drake Equation zeroes out, especially — based on reasonable guesses from local sampling — around L.
So uh good morning.
Me and the missus meeting up with the ex and her missus and a big nap-inducing brunch and everyone getting on and just part of one of the best days.
Carried through on my threat to go with Regolith on the next Linux installation.
Everything’s all the same defaults as the PPA install I did on Pop OS, so nothing exciting to report there. Yep it’s the same Regolith i3/etc setup.
TBH “nothing exciting to report” remains one of the bigger surprises in the exciting world of Linux installation.
The thing works exactly the same as the other way I tried it? Holy crap blog post time!
Asked to introduce myself in a meeting during a very distracted morning.

Might need to do some electrical fixing kind of stuff.

Feeling icky last night so I checked out sick from work for today.

Tried to get various Kwin tiling scripts to place windows just how I want them. Failed. So now I have a vanilla awesomewm working. Thing about awesome is you just tell it exactly how you want things.
It’s only a problem if you don’t know exactly how you want things.
Some days you just really need twee.
