Looking at a pile of Python experiments hooking “interesting” ideas onto Logseq and Dendron. Fun! But it’s all sort of reinventing Org mode.
Don’t know if that’s a bad thing but I get tired of my brain muttering that somebody already did this work.
Obsidian now supports Markdown admonitions. Great! It’s in yet another syntax — one preferred over in Microsoft authoring land. Dammit.
So now we have (at least) !!! note, ::: note, and > [!NOTE] floating out there and again I wish adoc, rst, or org were bigger.
@mnw the model 100 is in final phases right now, and I expect it’ll be available for general purchase near the end of the year.
Not gonna lie, when somebody positively referenced in my stray thoughts throws a fave at it, the endorphin rush is a little bigger.

@jaywilliams That screenshot was Regolith desktop, i3 window manager, and Alacritty with a tmux session.
The workflow I’m enjoying right now has terminal in middle half, with browser left quarter and chat apps / notes right quarter.
Oh god I had one of those moments of “I know what you’re trying to pull because I used to pull the same stuff.” My mom would be so smug if I told her. Well, her birthday was just the other day.

Spent three hours gathering notes for a post so I could spend four hours figuring out a repeatable way to share them.
Probably would’ve been easier from Obsidian, Dendron, or Org mode, but that’s hyperfocus for ya.
Thought I was done with the Zola experiment but apparently not. I can work around the limited Markdown (compared to my preferences). The speed + legible template language are just too much to pass up on.
Someone got her these socks a couple weeks ago and as a more stereotypical introvert I’m still mad. It doesn’t make her some shy wallflower just because matching your style at all hours isn’t her first priority.
Cute socks though.
My ongoing and persistent irritation that descriptions lists weren’t well-known or widely used enough that syntax for them to get into base markdown.
And thus every “we only do core commonmark” tool takes extra work for me.
I think I broke pylint with over-lenient settings because that code is absolutely not 9.83 / 10.
