Finally got to use MyST Markdown in a Sphinx project and it’s pretty nice!
Found the weather settings in American Truck Simulator. Rained all the way from Seattle WA to Sandpoint ID, which I dunno how realistic that is, but this part at least was comfortingly familiar. #ATS

In other news, got multiple windows open so I can breathe and counting days to their appointment.
One nice thing about a paper notebook vs a digital PKM is it’s a lot easier to draw arrows and doodle in the margins and AND I’LL DO THE STUFF OKAY JEEZ
I mean boo meetings but holy crap coworker’s doing a demo session and there’s a Python + Linux geek attending and I’ve been able to hands-up & answer that person’s questions.
Participating is easier when you know you’ve got the best available answers.
Got a work-approved VM running on the MBP which means I can finally reboot the PC to Linux and stay there for more than a few hours.

Oh that’s terrible. I see this open source python-language-server. Much better. Wonder who owns that project?

Enable “Foldfix” in Vim extension settings.
(Why am I bothering with VS Code? Self-assigned task for my knowledge transfer project. Most devs here doing a screen share use that editor, so if I set up the workspace with that in mind I cut down onboarding friction.)
No meetings today, so looking forward to continuing on some stuff but instead I get to debug LDAP. Yay I get to learn more about LDAP. Yay.

Going from the link to update that 15 shillings in London to say $80,000 today. In San Francisco or Seattle. With seven kids. At least one of whom needs extra care, and we know Scrooge won’t be providing any extra health coverage with that $80k.

Using org mode to write a thing (I want to keep my code close to my notes for this one and my brain immediately locked on Org so here we are).
No way would I say everyone should do it this way. I’m really enjoying the doctests-on-steroids feel for this task, though.
