Let the adjusted Go version run overnight. 392 minutes. Six and a half hours to do a task Perl did in one and a half hours.
Strong suspicion the Perl advantage is buried in the libraries I chose (File::Next, Mojo::SQLite, Path::Tiny)
This will be a great opportunity to learn more Go.

@rabcyr it just doesn’t make sense to me that Go would be so much slower than Perl, using what on the surface looks like the same solution.
It has me curious what differences are hidden beneath my “just grab something from CPAN” approach.

Context: I write my notes with a pen in a notebook. As an Old, it helps me think.
Doesn’t help me search though.
So I’m pondering different solutions that still let me start my notes as an Old.

Though maybe an EOD ritual where I spend 15-30 minutes typing those notes into org / bear / onenote / whatever could be could. Character building, even.
And a habit about as likely to persist as scanning notebooks 🤔
