I see the usual folks are complaining about Perl backwards-compatibility as soon as anyone mentions something that might affect their server’s cgi-lib.pl code.

I used to never block anybody because I wanted to preserve the discourse. Then one day I realized The Discourse was in fact complete rat shit.

Now I block preemptively, en masse, and with enthusiasm.

Honestly it’s made my online existence much better.
