Dang. Wanted to use FastAPI for this project but it’s a shiny smooth well-polished round peg for the square hole that is the requirements list.
It could do the thing. But it’s way off from its best use cases.
Alas. Maybe next time.

@drwho My show-stopping constraint is it needs to be a browser app (ok no probs! JS app front-end!) that can potentially function as-is for five years (ah).
FastAPI supports HTML content, but it gets like two paragraphs of coverage in the docs so far.
