Boy howdy but I sure am good at finding the rough edges for WSL usage.

This time around, using headless Firefox to load a single page. 36s on WSL2 vs ~6s on Linux and ~8s in Windows native.

I’m not exactly a “burn it all down” person — already went through my pyro phase — but as the situation progresses with cops & feds & private contractors assaulting citizens, I’m getting real selective about what fires I’d help put out.

I see why folks like IDEs but I’m finding that pre-commit hooks give me the feedback I care about.

I don’t like my editor muttering at me about a function that I haven’t finished writing. I just want to be sure when I commit it’s good.
