To my own shock and surprise I completed all my promised tasks for the day, and it only took one day.

As much as I love novelty, it amuses me how hard I lean into the familiar sometimes.

Halfway through a great Udemy Org mode course and I switch my notes to Vimwiki because less friction or something.

@Ventronik For the org mode course I was using org mode (in Doom Emacs).

I’ve lately been bouncing a lot between different task and knowledgement managing tools, FOSS and proprietary.

Think some part of my brain got fed up and decided “WE KNOW TASKWARRIOR AND VIMWIKI. NOW SIT DOWN SHUT UP AND GET SOME WORK DONE”

for now

@oz it’s weird. I don’t want Org mode. The format offends my aesthetics, the keybindings haven’t stuck after 7 on/off years, and I just don’t enjoy Emacs.

But I want all the stuff Org can do. Logseq is really close but also in very rapid development.

@oz Not yet, but it’s only a matter of time.

Oh and Logseq is in the “your notes are text files on the hard drive” category. I’ve already had some fun with those notes with Vim and Perl.

Ice cream truck goes by playing “When the Saints Go Marching In” and disorienting but I gotta say yeah that’s a step up from the customary ice cream truck song.

$54 -$78 (depending on if you want 48"x32" or 60"x40") isn’t that much for a map of the entire Internet

The more time we spend with the kittens the more I understand the appeal of wireless electronics.
