Pi4 is fast enough that I didn’t realize I was doing a hefty compile via that ssh session until after the fact.

Hefty by dabbler project scale, not by real world scale.

My brain finds V boring, much the same way it finds Go or Rust boring (don’t rely on my novelty-driven evaluation of languages for your project plans)

@vortex_egg Historically: Perl, Raku, Ruby, Crystal, Nim, Elixir, REBOL / Red immediately come to mind.

Python is borderline.
