Learning how addictive Rimworld is once you get the hang of it.
Currently playing at the mildest level, which works out as equivalent to a variation of The Sims. I’ll bump it up as I figure out the basic mechanics, but not by much. I’m not here to traumatize pixels. Yet.

We went to see The Green Knight. Good? Maybe? Reminded at various points of Excalibur, Monty Python & The Holy Grail, Jim Jarmusch, and a 1970s macrame instruction book cover.

I will say this much about The Green Knight. Pretty sure everyone who made that movie was really into it. I know enough about the ACU (Arthurian Cinematic Universe) to recognize some stuff, but there were a lot more references in there for the true fan.

@GeoffWozniak I would describe it as an art movie. The plot’s basically a vehicle for them to do some pretty cinematography and costumes, maybe have some Ren Faire friends sing choir for them, stuff like that.

@GeoffWozniak equal parts delightful and frustrating was how little they felt the need to explain to us. There’s a bit of expository dialogue of course, but far less than the current norm.

not-quite-spoiler for friends w/ auditory processing issues:
Opening voiceover sounds like reading Shakespeare while gargling hot sauce. Basically “you know Arthur? This ain’t that.”
Solid 20 minutes late in the movie w/o dialogue. Muted voices, yes. Script, no.

As God is my witness I have no idea which of my friends would consider this a “good” movie, but The Green Knight is an accomplishment (who even does extended sequences w/o dialogue now?) and I know lots of friends that should see it just to appreciate the accomplishment.

Bad news: that won’t be muffalo in the freezer.
