Wanted to braindump a quick note in the terminal and remembered that I wrote myself a #RakuLang script to do exactly that a few months ago. Kinda nice when ADHD circles back and finds its own footprints.

Got an email from Panic that they’re about to take money for another year of the (great if you’re on macOS) Nova editor and it’s not the only early warning email I’ve gotten but they’re just so nice about it and I want an excuse to sit on the Mac more so ok fine go ahead.

TFW when a quick fix isn’t so quick but you still turn in under the estimate you gave.
No I didn’t use a magic 4x estimate. I went “fix should be X; deploy should be Y; and hm what if cats start projectile vomiting for no reason better add Z”
No cat vomit so we’re good so far!

Ohhh I think I get it the new Safari tabs look like a taskbar. Makes aesthetic sense, with browsers basically being app centers these days (unless you’re on Safari in which case good luck and god speed).
With the rounded corners and all, how very Windows XP of them.

In the last few iterations of this reporting tool, I’ve tried three or four wildly different solutions. Turns out?
THEY WERE ALL CORRECT
course that means they were all wrong too
But this version takes a little from here, a little from there and seems to work better
