I’m on TweetDeck ‘cause that’s how I look at the birb site, right, and I click a link into Twitter proper and was their dark mode always so dark. There was something about a redesign? It’s not like shouting but like a person talking too loud even though you’re right there.

@gannet My guess is these sites are going for a 100 Lighthouse score. It has a test for insufficient contrast https://web.dev/color-contrast/, but the test and guidelines say nothing about excessive contrast, and you get no points for the subtleties. So that’s what they shoot for.
Trying different things with color instead of going wild with details that I never seem to finish.

Learning how addictive Rimworld is once you get the hang of it.
Currently playing at the mildest level, which works out as equivalent to a variation of The Sims. I’ll bump it up as I figure out the basic mechanics, but not by much. I’m not here to traumatize pixels. Yet.
