No. Whatever it is, no. Caffeine first.

@devrandom Kinky! I’m impressed.

Ah yes that’s right. Some web app frameworks bundle their JS dependencies. Giving project spelunkers like me an opportunity to marvel at the smooth integration with Dojo 1.5.

@Nikolai_Kingsley nah Junior does need to learn the protocol with me. I like my crow friends cute & quiet — unless there’s an emergency.

Glad I’m employed for the normal reasons but also my employment security case is still Pending for every filing from the first in April to the last in late June. No payments ever received.

@rafial That’s fantastic!

hackers.town: 2020-07-15 Wed 00:12

I did admin stuff today and it was fun. Mainly it was fun because it was successful.

hackers.town: 2020-07-15 Wed 00:14

@y0x3y it is, though the only thing obviously pop_os there is the logo. I mess around with settings a bit.

@sohkamyung Thank you! It kinda makes me want to move outside of the city though. At least before COVID I could distract myself from the lack of stars by going out for dinner 🍴

@neltnerb @feoh@cybre.space Art, you say? Hang on.

Well I was going to point you at an art boosting account I follow, but now I can’t find it. I wondered why I wasn’t seeing anything from them.

Have you checked the mastodon.art profile directory? Lots of great folks in there.

Proud of myself. I had a great idea, started trying it, and stopped myself within five minutes of it looking more like a terrible idea.

cleaning up pom.xml log, day 17

Was just wondering if there’s anything worse than this, and I imagined basically this but for a large Node project from today and it’s 2030.

hackers.town: 2020-07-12 Sun 17:12

I’m learning so much with this Java project! Not so much about Java, but goodness sure have picked up a lot of XML knowledge I haven’t needed for 15 years.

Even my brain knows I don’t have enough time to play with this yet.

But maybe somebody else out there wants to play with a Rust-backed alternative to Electron for desktop JS apps?

hackers.town: 2020-07-11 Sat 09:41

@nolan I don’t have concrete knowledge, but I’m dealing with a similar challenge.

I’m looking at the Nix package manager as an alternative to brew for both personal env and isolated project workspaces (without pulling out docker).

Looking at a page about accessibility. It covers alt text and color contrast. That’s it. Oh and the color contrast sample images have no alt or descriptive text.
