That cab ride was the most convincing pitch for Uber I have yet encountered.
The sort of ride where you count your extremities if and when you reach your destination

On a flight with unhappy infant. I got earplugs, and @IamMrsGeek suggests I also listen to music on the bone conduction headset. While still wearing earplugs.

Two tidbits before I get on with the day proper:
For those interested to know, the Sit Back, Create & Relax! modpack works well on my 14" M1 MBP (73 FPS).
Second, I couldn’t get the leatherworker to stop sleeping in my my bed, so i made the bed a double and i guess we’re boyfriends now. The guard seems pleased. Relative? Friend? amicable ex, maybe?

Found one (of four or five, I think?) of my Google Takeout files from when they were getting ready to delete all the Google+ data. Because of the jigsaw puzzle piece approach to takeout files, it includes only the last dozen of my G+ posts, out of several thousand.
anyways annoyed at google all over again
I know they’ve held onto all sorts of data I didn’t want them to, but not G+, the thing they forced everyone to use? They run out of disk space or something?

It takes a bit more work than it used to, but Jack still likes the shoulder spot when there’s no dog awake to mess him up.

Sometimes the first shingles shot sucks. Sometimes it’s the second. And apparently sometimes they both suck.

Opened Emacs before opening Logseq this morning.
This is not a momentous shift or anything, just ADHD brain letting me know I need to incorporate org files into my meta note processing cycle.

@sleepyfox Well I’m not going to test it as if it were. One data analysis tool or technology will do just fine.

40 blocks long, 120 blocks high, and I only died once. Now I have sheep.
(apparently an Enderman thinks you’re looking at it from a much wider field of view when you’re a ways off?)
Anyways, ready for the actual day now.

Currently looking at multiple archived repos, combining tumblelog and note microblogging experiment posts into a single org file for ox-hugo, thinking this is a less bad terrible idea than my immediately prior terrible idea, but please don’t jiggle anything.
hackers.town: 2024-04-09 Tue 09:32
It was the public journal sub-notes in my Logseq experiment that did it.
Couldn’t meaningfully link to an individual journal sub-note entry without extra work, and if I’m already doing extra work, why not just start from the extra work with an org-based tumblelog I did a little while ago?

@eb I like and use the postfix because it adds context for simple pasted bookmarks. If I don’t need the context, I edit the bookmark for that instance. But I consider it a good default starting point.
hackers.town: 2024-04-08 Mon 06:54
@eb though yeah specifically for the OpenGraph context it makes more sense to use properties like site_name context.
hackers.town: 2024-04-08 Mon 06:56
@eb oh absolutely. My personal most common use case is pasting a link into my note system, which is configured to fetch the title for that link.
