Comparing the fediverse to centralized systems misses the point (tho even prominent devs do that).

It won’t displace birbsite, but works very well building communities. Heck, hackers.town has a gitea instance.

Some folks talk about how they wrote X thousand words in one day and I am awestruck.

When I write oh say 500 words, I’ve typed, checked, and deleted about 3,000. Can’t imagine the work to end with thousands.
