Hm. Pondering.
Best way to cause change is to model what you want to see. We’re the culture.
I’m good at owning my mistakes. How can I be better?
Post-it for my future mistakes:
- What did I do?
- What happened?
- What did I learn?
- How might I catch it/myself next time?

My post-it checklist isn’t for quizzing others. What an intensely uncomfortable thought.
No, it’s my reminder for myself, to ponder and then share results next time I melt a database. So far my greatest workplace contribution has been Interesting Mistakes, so I’ll build on that.

I keep coming up with addendums.
I know “We’re the culture” comes from privilege. Anyone can model good patterns. Not everyone can effect equal change.
But us folks walking around like we’re the default — or a hip alternative? We can put our disproportionate weight to good use.
