Discovered that I accidentally removed the Windows boot entry last week, and I just don’t feel like messing with it.

Django generic relations are really nifty but I’m starting to understand why all the tutorials I found stopped so early. It gets funky quick.

Using Jupyter for the kind of task I’d normally work through with a script or in the REPL, and I’m kind of digging it. Annotated code exploration is one of my favorite hobbies.

Warming the brain up by reading the Julia manual and I reached the bit where you can say
x = 3y = 2x^2 - 3x + 1
and now I’m mad at every other language I’ve ever used. We could’ve been doing this?

Spouse took the pups with her to a lunch thing.

Feels weird not telling Loud Dog to shut up every ten minutes.
She gets a new (old) book and I’m watching her flip through the pages and tell her “hey that’s some nice typesetting” and yeah I’m one of those nerds
I’m explicitly not an infosec person. I keep half an eye on CVEs, and pay attention when smart people get antsy, but that’s about it.
But even that makes me dang Professor Wizard of All Things Security in most meetings.
WTF is with these sites that list frameworks or talk about tools you might want to try, WITHOUT LINKING TO THE THING THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT.
Having a lot of fun tuning the Django admin for this thing, and a lot of buyer’s remorse about the clunky butt admin panel I put together for the user side of things.
We’ll call it a learning experience.

Watched manager copy / paste from Django admin to Excel yesterday, so last night I installed an export module and this morning demonstrated usage. He sounded like it was Christmas.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Manjaro 20.2 KDE is working pretty good as a daily driver.
Wouldn’t go so far as to say “it just works” because come on it’s Linux, but the kinks were on install. Since then it’s been delightfully boring.
Reminded that Textile exists and now I’m mad about Markdown For Everything all over again.
